  • Please provide your high school, college, and graduate school GPA (out of 4.0) and attach copies of your unofficial transcripts, if applicable.

  • Provide any relevant social media profiles (LinkedIn, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

  • How many alumni (or current/past employees) have you interviewed from the school(s) / program? What have they said which convinced you to apply? 
  • What qualifications did the admissions officer(s) or human resources/employees/website say they are looking for in their candidates?
  • What 3 key characteristics or traits did the website or recruiter say they look for in a candidate (provide the web link)? Please include a link to the program or company you plan to apply.  
  • Have you attended an open house at the school(s)/program? Have you sat in a class or attended a webinar for your target program? Have you signed up for a virtual open house? 
  • What class did you take with Professor Saunders (Name / Number)? Which semester/year?  Or what workshop did you attend? 
  • What final letter grade did you earn in her class? Or what comment did she make about you after the workshop? 
  • What assignment(s) in her class helped you prepare for this advanced degree? Or what advice has she given you that has helped you throughout your career?

  • How many informational interviews have you conducted within the organization in which you want to work? If none, why not? Do you indeed to make this part of your relationship-building strategy? 
  • During your informational interviews that you conducted that demonstrate your commitment, what 3 things did you learn about the culture and operations within that organization/department? 
  • What role are you applying? Title? Requestion number? Why are you applying? What 3 skills do you have that are asked for in the job description? 
  • When has Professor Saunders observed your work ethic, leadership skills, character, or reputation? How long has she known you? When was the last time you spoke with Professor Saunders by email or phone before making this request? If none of these are current, just share your thoughts remember she has your best interest at heart.
  • Please provide a link to any type of recommendation letter, LinkedIn testimonials, etc., basically written evidence that speaks to who you are as an employee within the last 1-2 years.

If no one, please share how your outreach has gone using LinkedIn.
