Natascha's career development workshops are designed to provide knowledge and skills essential for success in starting, excelling and navigating a career.
The objective of the career development workshops is to provide both awareness and insight into the new world of career possibilities, including definitions, statistics, trends, and resources. Natascha's workshops cover the essentials of launching a successful: (1) job/internship search, (2) preparing for college/graduate school, (3) making a career transition, (4) personal branding, (5) vision and goal setting, or she may discuss with you any other topic you deem necessary for your group.
Natascha pours her heart into crafting workshops that inspire, motivate and deposits tools participants can implement immediately.
Sample topics include:
Through this course, students build an understanding of the career development and management process by looking internally, outward and looking ahead. This class covers self-assessments, values, interests, personality, and skills; workforce development trends and personal network; and exploring of career options. A variety of assessment tools, individual reflection, and group discussion will be used.
This workshop covers the overall principles of creating an effective resume. Examples will be used to highlight resumes that are clear, focused, targeted and skill oriented. Participants without a resume will receive a template, while others are welcome to compare and contrast alongside their current resume. Everyone will be encouraged to use the provided tools to continue their resume-editing process.
Vision Statements, Goal Setting, & Personal Advisory Boards
The most requested workshopfor students to learn how a vision statement can guide their lives and provide the direction necessary to chart the course of their days, choices they make, how a vision helps them achieve their goals, guides them to apply what they’ve learned and ultimately is the legacy they will leave behind. Additionally, students’ craft a vision statement, how to map goals and create a personal advisory toolkit to help them achieve their goals.
Students participant in conducting a self-assessment quiz and learn the five areas of personal branding called M.I.C.R.O.™ These areas will include discussion around marketing materials, social media, clothing, communication, reputation and much more.
This workshop provides guidelines and practical advice that will help individuals successfully prepare for interviews. During this session, we discuss different types of interviews (behavior, informational, phone); address what hiring managers are looking for, discuss the PAR andSTARL Method and strategize how to best answer potentially difficult interview questions.
In this lab-style class, (computer use is ideal, but it can be taught without), learn to leverage your LinkedIn brand through an engaging profile. Individuals will work within their personal account, and better understand how to navigate connections, benefits of joining groups, build community, create a strong profile, craft multiple headlines, etc. This workshop focusses on individual LinkedIn pages.
This session gives insights and practical tips on the who, what, when, where, and how of networking. Participants will learn the power of networking in a way that provides added confidence. At the end of this session, participants will have taken the first steps to network more effectively, more efficiently, with purpose and learn how to have fun. Ultimately participants will understand the power of networking, reach their goals faster, and become more comfortable at networking events and use social media effectively by adding a personalized approach.
